Dr. Micheli's interests and involvements are many and varied. He is the medical director of both the Boston Ballet and USA Rugby, which gives him the chance to enjoy both activities while providing medical care for the participants.

In addition Dr. Micheli is associated with many professional organizations, some of which he has served in an official capacity. He is a former president of the world's largest and most prestigious organization of sports medicine professionals, the American College of Sports Medicine, and is vice-president of the International Federation of Sports Medicine.
